BCCI announces new annual contract system for Men & Women Team; Full Details Here

The supreme court appointed the committee of administrators for BCCI has decided to increase the retainer fee for India”s women and men cricket teams across international and domestic cricket.

The retainer fee is the confirmed amount a player receives from the board annually. Generally, this is a sign of a player”s progressive performance graph in his carrier and hence an effort to boost his confidence by the board.

The board has divided the retainer fee for the period Oct 2017 until the month of October this year in various categories.

Senior Women retainership fee structure sees, Grade A players receiving INR 50 lacs each. Grade B players to receive INR 30 lacs each and the new category, Grade C to receive INR 10 lacs each.

The Grade A consists of the legends like Mithali Raj & Jhulan Goswami and also the young sensations in Harmanpreet Kaur & Smriti Mandana.

While valuable contributors like Poonam Yadav, Veda Krishnamurthy, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Ekta Bisht, Shikha Pandey, Deepti Sharma.

The list of Mansi Joshi, Anuja Patil, Mona Meshram, Nuzhat Parveen, Sushma Verma, Punam Raut, Jemimah Rodrigues, Pooja Vastrakar, Taniya Bhatia makes up the category of Grade C.

The senior Men retainership fee structure has the introduction of a new A+ category this time and the Grade A+ players to receive INR 7 cr each. Grade A and B players will receive INR 5 cr and INR 3 cr respectively. While the Grade C players will receive INR 1 cr each.

The new A+ category has Kohli, Rohit, Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar & Bumrah named in its bracket and they will earn INR 7 crores in the period between Oct “17-Sept “18.

Pay Grade (Senior Men) :

Grade A + : [7cr] Kohli, Rohit, Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar & Bumrah

Grade A: [5cr] Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja,Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Wriddhiman Saha

Grade B: [3cr] KL Rahul, Umesh Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Ishant Sharma.

Grade C: [1cr] Kedar Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Axar, Karun Nair, Suresh Raina, Parthiv Patel, Jayant Yadav.

Mohammed Shami is the noticeable absentee from the list of centrally contracted players for 2017-18.

The Board has also announced a 200% hike in match fees for domestic players across all levels.

Pay Grade (Senior Women) :

Grade A [INR 50 lakhs]: Mithali Raj, Jhulan Goswami, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana
