Cricfit Academy U-14 rode onto a fine performance by the batsmen to beat Bhosle Cricket Academy U-14 in a crucial encounter at the Thakur Village Cricket Stadium in Kandivali East. Chasing 121 runs, Harsh Aaghav played a match-winning knock to guide his side home in just 171. overs.

Asked to bat first, Bhosle Cricket Academy openers didn’t look too convincing against the new ball. Tirth Vanarse and Anirudh Nair looked entirely out of place as they struggle to keep the scorecard ticking. Shuban Shaikh and Dihir Muchala were superb with the new ball as Bhosle Cricket Academy could only manage 20-odd runs in the first six overs.

Cricfit Academy register win in CPL 2021

Tirth departed soon after the soon which brought Tanish Shetty in the middle, who top-scored the charts with 36 runs. However, the batters consumed too many deliveries failing to up the scoring rate in the death overs propelling Bhosle Cricket Academy to only 120 runs at the end of 20 overs.

In the second half, Cricfit Academy openers – Auwab Kunni and Harsh Aaghav set the records straight early from the start. They went after the new ball hitting the gaps well to keep up with the asking rate. They added 84 runs for the first wicket in just 9.5 overs before Kunni walked back to the dugout with 34 runs besides his name from the same number of deliveries including three boundaries.

The dismissal of Kunni led to another breakthrough for Bhosle Cricket Academy as they reduced Cricfit Academy to 87 for two. But Harsh Aaghav looked in business as he struck the ball brilliantly to take his side over the rope in just 17.1 overs with seven wickets in hand.

Aaghav remained unbeaten on 63 runs from just 49 deliveries which included eight boundaries and a massive six which also earned the man of the match award.
