The Cricfit Premier League (CPL) in just a few days time has shown us quality performances from every age group, from seniors to little U12 kids, the CPL has turned out to become a blockbuster sporting event. Today, it was the match-up between the Celebration Sports Club and VK Krishna Menon Cricket Academy in the Under-14 category where VK Krishna Menon Cricket Academy comprehensively defeated the Celebration Sports Club by 4 wickets at the Thakur Cricket Stadium In Kandivali.
It all started at the toss as VK Krishna Menon Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bowl first. Opening batters Arya Bele and Meet Patel gave Celebration Sports Club the perfect start with their side as they launched a 68 run opening stand before Sayantak Das provided the first breakthrough as he cleaned up Meet Patel.
Post which there were handful of contributions from Ankit Yadav and Darsh Singh in addition to Arya Bele’s fantastic knock of 59 as Celebration Sports Club managed to put up 147 runs on the board at the end of 20 overs.

In return, VK Krishna Menon Cricket Academy had a horror start as they lost their opening batter Arnav Mahotra on the first ball of the innings. What followed the wicket of Arnav was trouble in paradise for VK Krishna Menon Cricket Academy as they were brought down to 7/3 in the first over of the innings.
With 3 wickets down in the first over, they needed a miracle to dig them out of trouble. Sayantak Das and Kinshuk Bharati notched up a 51 run partnership which helped them get near the target as VK Krishna Menon Cricket Academy won the match by 4 wickets. Sayantak Das was adjudged the man of the match for his stellar knock of 52 runs off 46 deliveries.
