The star of Indian Women”s Cricket Team Harmanpreet Kaur was presented with a car from Datsun redi-Go to honor her heroics in the ICC Women”s World Cup 2017. Despite losing the final narrowly against the host England, the women in blue earned a lot of praise all over the world for the brand of cricket they played.
The vice-captain of the Indian team played an unbeaten knock of 171 runs against the defending champions Australia to take India single-handedly to the final of the tournament. The players have received a warm welcome from every part of the country ever since they landed in Mumbai.
On receiving the car, the all-rounder said,” Thank you, Datsun India, for this gesture and I am looking forward to driving the redi-GO. This makes it easier for me to move around for training, but I am excited to take my family for a spin first.” The vice-president of the company Jerome Saigot presented her with the car in Delhi/NCR.
“Datsun is working hard to help fuel the ambitions of India’s young achievers and risers. We are delighted to see women like Harmanpreet make the nation proud. We congratulate Harmanpreet for her outstanding contribution during the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 and we are pleased to present her with the redi-GO for her sporting excellence,” the vice-president said.
Kaur has also been awarded the prestigious Arjuna award this year for her brilliance in the field of sport.
