Kiwi duo of Luke Ronchi and Mitchell McClenaghan have been added to the ICC world XI squad to complete the playing XI for the fundraiser against Windies at Lords.

It is to be noted that the names of the players have been released in parts and the squad looks a “balanced” one with the likes of several hitters and spinners.

The funds collected in the match will go to the renovation of the stadiums in West Indies which were devastated by the hurricanes last year. England captain Eoin Morgan will lead the World XI squad.

The match will be played on May 31 and the players will be in a huddle to join the squad after the IPL season.  Carlos Braithwaite will lead the Windies side which includes power hitters Gayle and Lewis. It will be really interesting to see the strategy of the World XI squad against the two time T20 champions.

The world XI squad consists of two players from New Zealand, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan. One player each from Srilanka, England and Afghanistan.

World XI squad: Eoin Morgan (c), Dinesh Karthik, Mitchell McClenaghan, Hardik Pandya, Thisara Perera, Rashid Khan, Luke Ronchi, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal
