India squad for Australia short-series to be announced on December 19: BCCI will announce the Indian squad for the upcoming Australia limited-overs tour on Saturday. India are to play ODIs and T20Is in January 2016 down under.
The 15-member squad will be picked by the selection committee headed by Sandeep Patil in Delhi on December 19 as stated by a BCCI source.
India are to play five ODIs and three T20Is in Australia starting from January 12.
MS Dhoni will be retained as the skipper for the same even though India did not have a good limited-overs run at home recently as they were beaten by South Africa in both the formats. The five One Day Internationals’ venues are Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney to be played on Jan 12, 15, 17, 20 and 23. The two sides will lock horns for three Twenty20 Internationals that are to be played in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney on Jan 26, 29, 31.
India have a busy schedule before the World T20 2016 starting from March 8. The tour of Australia will be India’s next mission after a long home series against the Proteas where the hosts were defeated in ODIs and T20Is but bounced back to beat the No.1 Test side 3-0. India’s next assignment after
