India will start off their home season when they face the mighty Australians in a five match ODI series scheduled to begin from September 17. The first match will be played at Chepauk Stadium and the tickets will be sold online from September 10 as announced by the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association through a press release said that the tickets for the first match of the Paytm series between India and Australia will be available to the general public from September 10. Tickets can also be booked online from bookmyshow.com, the release stated.

The prices of the tickets were fixed at Rs 1,200, Rs 2,400, Rs 4,800 and Rs 8,000, the media release said. Hospitality box tickets at Chepauk would cost a people Rs 12,000 whereas the pavilion terrace was fixed at Rs 8,000.

There was an increase in the price of the tickets marginally due to the implementation of Goods and Service Tax (GST) and Municipality and Entertainment Tax. The three stand, “I”, “J” and “K” will continue to remain locked out, which isn’t a great sign either.

The Australian team will visit India from Bangladesh in two batches on September 8 and 9. The team will also play two practice matches against the Board President XI before the start of the five match ODI series and three T-20s.

Chennai will host the first match of the series, followed by games in Kolkata, Indore, Bengaluru, and Nagpur. Five ODI Internationals will be followed by three-match T20 series which will be played at Ranchi, Guwahati, and Hyderabad.
