SRH captain Kane Williamson said: Our bowling let us down badly in today’s match. The pitch had swing and the opening batsmen had troubles. In the first 6 overs, we scored fewer runs which went against us. I and Kane Williamson played well but a score of 179 against CSK batting line-up was less. We need our middle order to fire in the upcoming matches.

CSK captain MS Dhoni said: It was a good performance by our bowlers. Deepak Chahar was outstanding with the bowl that made the ball swing. Ambati Rayadu and Shane Watson provided a brilliant start which gave the momentum. We need to search for our death bowlers.

When these two teams met last time in this tournament, CSK won a thriller by 4 runs at Hyderabad.

With this win, CSK moves to 16 points and a step closer to qualifying for playoffs stage.
