Sunrisers Hyderabad was reduced to just 132/6 by Kings XI Punjab at Hyderabad. Ankit Rajpoot, the match winner for KXIP against DD, stole the show yet again by picking up the first five-wicket haul of the IPL 2018. His figures of 5/14 were one of the finest ones of this IPL.
Ankit was roped into the squad as a replacement for Mohit Sharma and filling his shoes in a formidable manner.
Opting to bowl first, Punjab looked so threatening in their bowling. Sunrisers found it difficult to score as Manish Pandey was the only batsman to hit 54 of 51 deliveries. Shakib and Yusuf played a small cameo but that wasn”t enough to take Sunrisers to a huge total.
Ankit Rajpoot represented Kolkata Knight Riders in the past and his inclusion has been really a blessing in disguise for the Ashwin”s army.
Kings XI Punjab who are known for producing Local Indian young talents like Sandeep Sharma, Anureet Singh and Axar Patel, starred yet again with their best buys this season.
It will be interesting to see how Gayle and Rahul will approach the best bowling lineup who won the last game defending just 118 runs.
