IPL 2018: Bad News For KKR; Sunil Narine likely to miss the 11th edition

Sunil Narine, the West Indies Spinner has come across a big obstacle regarding his action today. Narine”s bowling action has again been reported. Now, during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Twenty 20 tournament in the UAE as per the umpiring officials.

Sunil has been featuring for Lahore Qalandars and was actually on the list of suspected action bowlers.

According to a Pakistan Cricket Board statement about the issue, “Narine has been reported for a suspected illegal bowling action during Wednesday”s PSL Twenty20 game between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators at Sharjah,”

Lahore is actually out of the competition race and is gonna play their last game soon versus Peshawar.

“The match officials” report on Narine’s bowling action will be sent to Cricket West Indies (CWI) and he will have to go through the process that is followed by the CWI for suspected illegal bowling actions,” the statement further reiterated.

Sunil Narine has actually been reported for a few times now. In his career, he was first reported in 2014 champions league T20. And was reported again in 2015 playing an international for west indies because of which he missed the 2015 world cup being undetectable for it.

He had to remodel his bowling action then and was away from the scene for long in that period. Narine returned to play for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL 2016.

But, this time being reported might just put his participation for KKR which retained him, in trouble and jeopardize their chances in the league.

A big blow to Kolkata Knight Riders and this after, many of their other main players are injured. KKR will hope Narine can prove his action again, very quickly.
