Gayle announced his return in style by scoring a quick fire half century that included 7 boundaries and 4 huge sixes. He scored 63 off 33 deliveries before getting dismissed by Watson.
Chris Gayle was initially unsold on the day 1 of IPL auctions but Sehwag and his team made sure to pick the batsman on the second day for his base price of 2 crores.
Gayle wasn”t retained by Bangalore franchise for whom he played for seven years. With this knock, Gayle bought a “fear factor” for the oppositions and he will continue to make his opportunities count under the leadership of Ashwin.
This storm by the Universe Boss has strengthened Kings XI Punjab squad and they will be looking forward to ticking their boxes in the coming matches.
