Indian Premier League finally came to end as Chennai Super Kings were crowned the champions for the third time. All the sixty matches were a treat to the audience as it involved many intense thrillers.
Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik took his Twitter account to thank all the people around for making this edition one of the best. In his maiden stint as a captain in the cash-rich league, he successfully led Kolkata franchise to the playoffs. He also created an impact on the scoreboard amassing 490 runs, not to forget his lightning moves behind the wickets.
First of all, he thanked all the broadcasters and the crew of commentators who played a crucial role in engaging with the audience. He expressed his gratitude to the ground staff, without whom the matches wouldn’t have held at the right time. He mentioned Shraukh and Jay Mehta ever “smiling” as they were cool, calm and composed off the field, and thanked for giving an opportunity to lead the side for the first time.
The skipper also thanked CEO Venky Mysore who backed the entire team irrespective of the situations and mentioned that he never put him under pressure.
His list also included the players, his fellow mates at Kolkata and the support staff for their continued support during the tournament.

It is to be noted that Dinesh Karthik has been in a fine touch since the Nidahas trophy finals at Srilanka before the IPL. He was fortunate enough to get into the limited overs squad touring Ireland and England later this month. It will be interesting to see how well he fits into the No:4 positions in the squad which has been a musical chair since for a long time.
