KL Rahul and Cheteshwar Pujara engaged in a witty conversation after registering their third win against Sri Lanka in Pallekele. Rahul accused that the seniors don”t let go a single chance to bully the juniors.

In a recent interview for the bcci.tv the duo was heard talking about the atmosphere in the dressing room and how the seniors abuse the junior cricketers in the team by making them a field in the short leg position. KL Rahul was also talking about his NCA days and how one of the supports staffs, Raghu who gives throw down to the batsmen has helped him improve his batting skills working tirelessly with him.

Pujara initiated the interview talking about Rahul’s FIFA skills to which the opener replied that it was his birthday resolution to improve himself in the game. On talking about Pujara’s wish that Rahul scores a double hundred this season, the stylish opener said that he is working on that. Pujara then mocked Rahul about spending a major time in the NCA to which the opener replied, “Don”t ask me Puj! I don”t like going to the NCA for rehabilitation. I mean, I enjoy going there for training and for practice, and not for rehab. Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of injuries on the way and I think I hold you equally responsible for my injuries because you don’t share the short-leg duties with me now. You are abusing the youngster”.

Rahul highly praised Pujara’s short-leg fielding skills and said, “I’m still learning and getting better at my short-leg skills but Pujara is the legend of short-leg. Every time he is at that position, he makes a wicket happen. The ball just seems to find him, so I’ve been putting pressure on him to be there all day and take the responsibility and take one for the team.”

Pujara also questioned Rahul about the ‘cool dude’ attitude that the Karnataka players carry to which the opener was quick to respond. He said that coming from a city like Bangalore it comes naturally to him and the others are drawing inspiration from him.
