Delhi began the day on 271 for 3. Mohammad Shami and Ashok Dinda bowled brilliantly with the second new ball and took 3 early wickets to reduce Delhi to 328 for 6. Himmat Singh batted well scoring an important half century. After the lunch break, Mohammad Shami did the damage by picking 5 wickets. Delhi was dismissed for 398 with a lead of 112 runs. In their second innings, Bengal struggled. Navdeep Saini and Khejroliya decimated the Bengal batting taking 4 wickets each.

Delhi won the match by an innings and 26 runs. They reached the finals of Ranji Trophy tournament after 10 years.

Karnataka added just 7 runs to the overnight score of 294. They were bowled out for 301. Karun Nair was finally dismissed for 153. Umesh took 1 more wicket to finish with 4 wickets. In their second innings, Vidarbha lost 3 wickets quickly at the score of 62. Ganesh Satish and Wankhade added 88 runs for the fourth wicket.

1st Semi-finals: Bengal vs. Delhi (MCA Stadium, Pune)

Bengal made a great start to the day taking 3 wickets. Himmat Singh played a vital knock of 60 runs. After the lunch break, Mohammad Shami bowled with aggression and finished with 6 wickets. Delhi was dismissed for 398. In their second innings, Navdeep Saini and Kheroliya took 4 wickets each, bowling out Bengal for 86 runs. Delhi won the match by an innings and 26 runs.

Delhi 398 in 117 overs ( Gambhir 127, Chandela 113, Himmat Singh 60, Mohammad Shami 6/122) beat Bengal 286 in 94.2 overs ( Sudeep Chatterjee 83, WB Chatterjee 47,Manan Sharma 2/37, NA Saini 3/55, Khejroiya 2/64) and 86 in 24.4 overs ( Sudeep Chatterjee 21, Navdeep Saini 4/35, Kulwant Khejroliya 4/40) by an innings and 26 runs.

2nd Semi-finals- Karnataka vs. Vidarbha ( Eden Garden’s, Kolkata)

Karnataka started the day on 294 for 8 and was bowled out adding just 7 runs. They were bowled out for 301. In reply, Ganesh Satish is still not out on 71 while Wankhade made important 49. Vidarbha day 3 on 195 for 4 as bad light called off the play.

Vidarbha 185 in 61.4 overs ( Sarwate 47, Wasim Jaffer 39, Mithun 5/45) and 195 for 4 in 47 overs ( Ganesh Satish 71*, Wankhade 49, S Arvind 2/41) lead Karnataka 301 in 100.5 overs (Karun Nair 153, CM Gautam 73, Umesh Yadav 4/73,Gurbani 5/90) 79 runs.
