Ricky Ponting made a bold prediction that team India would not even make 200 in the last innings of the SCG Test. Ponting wouldn’t have even imagined that the Indian side would not only prove him wrong but also draw the test match. After India reached the mark of 200 on day 5 of SCG test, Wasim Jaffer and Virender Sehwag trolled the former Australian skipper.

The two former cricketers reminded Ponting of his immature prediction and took a playful dig at him on Twitter. Jaffer shared a meme and indirectly stated that Ponting should have deleted his tweet in which he declared that India will not even make 200. On the other hand, Virender Sehwag too joined in the fun shared a funny IPL meme in which Rishabh Pant was standing behind Ricky Ponting as if to say that anything can happen with him in the squad.

“So much for the prediction of India scoring under 200, this pitch hasn’t deteriorated anywhere near what I was expecting. Like the way Rishabh Pant’s playing, it’s the perfect approach to take in these conditions. And now it’s game on”, wrote Ricky Ponting.

Meanwhile, team India showed great courage and determination and batted 130 overs to draw the 3rd Test match. It was a fine partnership between Hanuma Vihari and Ravichandran Ashwin who kept fighting till the end and remained unbeaten. The series is now locked at 1-1 with the last Test match to be played at Brisbane from January 15.
