Rishabh Pant made sure he entertained everyone from behind the stumps on day 1 of the Test match against England. The talkative Indian wicket-keeper never shies away from speaking his mind that always puts a smile on the face of everyone watching the game.

England after losing 2 early wickets batted splendidly courtesy off captain Joe Root and Dom Sibley. The duo tired the India bowlers and made full use of the batting-friendly pitch at Chepauk on day 1 of the Test match. When nothing was happening from the pitch, Pant started creating a buzz from behind the stumps.

Rishabh Pant is usually never quiet and keeps unsettling the opposition batsmen with his banter. The 23-year-old tried his level best to keep the India team charged up when things weren’t going according to plan. Pant is currently high on confidence after his heroics in the last Test against Australia that helped India win the series by 2-1.

Pant will be looking forward to batting against inexperienced England spin bowlers at Chennai. Meanwhile, it was all England on day 1 as the visitors made full use of the batting conditions and lost only 3 wickets in the entire day.

England captain Joe Root in his 100th Test smashed his 3rd consecutive century and led the charge for his side. He was supported by Dom Sibley who himself stroked a fine half-century. England will resume batting on 263 for 3 on day 2 of the opening Test of the 4 match series.
