India was still trailing the Southafrican score of 335 when Hardik Pandya batting alongside his captain got to the crease to start batting after remaining not out at the end of day 2, Day 3 started with Hardik batting with Kohli who was on 85.
It was an important partnership for India”s chances if these two had stretched a big long vigil at the crease but then something that shocked everyone happened.
Hardik danced down the pitch to play a shot to mid on asking Virat to run for a single but Kohli denied it, the mid on fielder threw the ball to the stumps at Hardik”s end and did hit. The ball went to the on side and Virat and Hardik finally completed the run but Southafrica appealed for the runout and the umpire went upstairs to the 3rd umpire to get a clearer picture of things.
It was seen on the big screen though, that Hardik just casually went back into his crease with his foot still in the air and bat not grounded too, and hence he was given out.
The moment didn”t go down too well with the twitterati and the video clip of the event went viral with various corners giving their insight and having a jibe at Hardik at his casualness and how it cost India a big wicket at such a crucial juncture in the game.
Experts and various cricket pundits too had their views expressed and disappointment was very well gauged from the tweets.
Early lesson for Hardik Pandya that this game will come to bite you back if you let confidence become arrogance.

It was a disappointing moment for Indian team as well because they needed this partnership to stay longer and score big so that they might get close to Southafrica”s score and may be who knows get past them.

Sanjay Manjrekar about the Hardik Pandya run-out He says that there is a thin line between confidence and arrogance gives an eg. of Tendulkar who had great talent but never had arrogance Sanjay feels that his arrogance may have contributed to him taking it easy there. RT if agree

Hardik Pandya: Silly run out,
Cheteshwar Pujara: Silly run out,
R. Ashwin: Near silly run out,
Ishant Sharma: Near comical run out.You know why? No?
Well, I ask you: Does India have a "running between the wickets coach"?
No?
Well, duh! That's why! #RSAvIND

#Pandya was just given a wake-up call by the sport ! You take my for granted and I will come from behind and give you a rude shock ! Absolutely terrible that. Part of the process though. Time to forget about it and move on! Comebacks are a necessity of any sport ! #SAvIND
