The 22-year old Mumbai Indians bowler has definitely come a long way. Making his ODI debut, replacing an injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the fifth and final ODI against Australia at Sydney, earlier this year, not only he DID NOT disappoint but also went a step further proving better than his senor team mates, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav.

Bumrah also had a successful IPL 2016, picking up 15 wickets from 14 outings. Indian ODI and T20I skipper, MS Dhoni, billed Bumrah as the ‘find of the tour’ after India won the T20I series against Australia 3-0, Down Under, earlier this year.

The Gujarat speedster carried on his good form into the Zimbabwe series, claiming 9 wickets from 3 matches with 4/22 being his best performance.

He also bagged 5 wickets from 3 games in the T20I series with 3/11 being his best bowling performance.

Consistency shown by Bumrah is definitely a welcome thing and he would definitely be giving the likes of Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, a run for their money.

This youngster looks to be a long term member of the national team and need to be managed properly so as not to get consumed by burn out, injuries etc.
