Karan Johar is a popular figure in Bollywood. Born on May 25, 1972, in Mumbai, Johar did his schooling at Greenlaw’s high school and attended H.R.College of Commerce and Economics and earned master’s degree in French. Karan is the father of twins Yash and Roohi through surrogacy.

In the last few months, Karan has got a lot of flab off his body, thanks to strict workout and diet plans. Karan’s trainer Kunal Gir explains how Karan has gone about the transformation from fat to fit.

“He eats every three hours. He only eats food cooked in macadamia nut oil, and his fiber intake has increased since his body now responds to higher amounts of fiber”, Interview with Vogue Magazine, Johar’s weight loss trainer Kunal Gir.

“A lot of people lose muscle mass instead of burning fat and that makes them weak. But Karan’s dedication to exercising and a good, healthy diet has ensured he’s not lost any muscle mass but burned mostly fat”, says Kunal Gir.

Karan loves to take a dip in the water and swim. Gir tried to channelize Karan’s passion for swimming in the right direction, “We alternate between weight training and water workout four times a week. When we first met, Karan told me he enjoyed swimming, so I’ve tried to incorporate a high-intensity cardio session in the water as a substitute to regular cardio—and it’s a lot more intense.” Said Gir about his workout routine.

He’s continuing to be regular with his workouts, and Gir continues to help him on this transformational journey. And the fact that he’s lost 11 inches off of his waist, and 17 kg in roughly four months, is enough visible proof.

People know Karan as a celebrity host of the TV show Koffee with Karan. It is being aired on television since 2004.
