The 32-year-old wicket-keeper batsman was successful in leading his team to victory in the Vijay Hazare trophy(2009-10) and also his team Tuticorin patriots in TNPL(2016).
KKR management brought him in the auctions for a whopping 7.4 crore in the month of January. It is to be noted that the management did not show any interest in retaining their ex-skipper Gautham Gambhir as he was taken for 2.8 crores by his home franchise DD.
Robin Uthappa gas has been appointed as his deputy and he felt that it would be comfortable to work with Karthik whom he had known since his U17 days.
