Kolkata Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik after winning yesterday’s match against Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets at Eden Garden’s, the wicketkeeper-batsman hugged the special KKR fan who was given KKR shirt.
In yesterday’s match, Chennai Super Kings had scored 177 for 5 in 20 overs with Watson, Dhoni, Raina the main contributors. A good bowling performance by Sunil Narine and Piyush Chawla restricted a strong CSK line up to just 177 for 5. While chasing, the young Shubman Gill scored his first IPL half-century and remained not out on 57.
Dinesh Karthik remained not out on 45 off 18 balls and helped KKR to win the match by 6 wickets with 14 balls to spare. With this win, Kolkata Knight Riders have moved to the 3rd place with 10 points.
After the match, Dinesh Karthik came to the special KKR fan that could not speak and then clicked a photograph with KKR captain Dinesh Karthik. The special fan was excited to see Dinesh Karthik. Before this also, KKR owner Shah Rukh Khan and Dinesh Karthik gave a KKR T-shirt to a special fan that was mentally and physically handicapped.
It was a great gesture by Dinesh Karthik to come and take a photo with a special fan. Kolkata Knight Riders have played well so far in the tournament winning 5 and losing 4 matches. Dinesh Karthik made the fan happy, hugged him and then went to the dressing room.
The next week of Indian Premier League will decide the fate of top 4 teams to qualify for playoffs stage. Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab and KKR are currently in the top 4 positions.
The crowd at Eden Garden’s in this year IPL have been great. Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians are in a tough position to qualify for the knockout rounds.
