Vijay Mallya has been India’s most wanted man for quite some time now. The 61 year old businessman has fled to UK in March 2016 and has been staying their since then.
Vijay Mallya is India’s most wanted man after defaulting debts of worth Rs. 9000 crores. Once being termed as ‘King of Good Times’, the tables have turned drastically for him.
Mallya was spotted entering The Oval via Sir Jack Hobbs gate on the ocassion of India vs South Africa game in a blue blazer and black trousers when a fleet of Indian supporters around the stadium spotted him and started screaming “Chor!! Chor!!”
Earlier in the week Mallya was spotted at Edgbaston during the match between India and Pakistan. Later he was seen at Virat Kohli Charity Dinner at HAC ground, London on 5 June. While neither Virat Kohli nor any member from the Indian team invite him for the dinner, it is reported that some invitee booked the table for him at the event. The Indian team had to leave the ball early so as to avoid any interaction with him.
He tweeted, “Wide sensational media coverage on my attendance at the IND v PAK match at Edgbaston. I intend to attend all games to cheer the India team.”
India beat South Africa at The Oval by 8 wickets to reach the semi final of the Champions Trophy. They will lock horns against Bangladesh in the semi final at Edgbaston on 15 June. England will play winner of Pakistan and Sri Lanka match at The Cardiff on 14 June in 1st Semi-final.The final will be played at The Oval on 18 June.
