Mitchell Starc at Hurstville Oval demonstrated that he has completed his Ashes preparations. The superstar left-arm quick bowler sent a strong message with his performance to the England team of what’s to come this summer in Ashes. In an astonishing turn of events, Starc took the second hat-trick of the match in a dramatic Sheffield Shield victory for NSW against Western Australia.
The Australian Left-arm fast bowler dismantled Western Australian team in the first innings with a mind-boggling spell of bowling which led to another hat-trick while cleaning up the tail. The 27-year-old quick bowled three successive yorkers to claim the wickets of Jason Behrendorff, David Moody, and Simon Mackin as the Western Australia were bowled out for modest 176.
It was the first time a player had ever claimed two hat-tricks in a single first-class match in Australia. The left-arm finished the match with figures of 4/56 and 3/41. It’s not something we see every day, right?
