Left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha was seen kicking all three after conceding a six on the last ball in the local domestic game. He bowled a full toss which went for six leading to a loss of closely fought game. Ojha lost his cool and got angry at bowling a bad ball.
He has played 24 test matches, 18 ODI’s. The left-arm spinner made his test debut in 2009 against Sri Lanka and represented Indian team last in 2013. His first ODI match was against 2008 against Bangladesh, playing his last ODI in 2012. Ojha has played few T20I matches for team India.
Ojha made his first-class for Hyderabad in 2005. He played for Bengal stateside in 2015/2016 Ranji Trophy season but could not perform well. The ICC called him for illegal activities in 2014 but in 2015, he was cleared off the action. Despite clearing his action in Ojha has not made a comeback into the Indian team as many good spinners like Ashwin, Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal have played a key role in team’s success.
Ojha has taken 113 wickets in 24 test matches, 21 wickets in 18 ODI matches. Despite his decent bowling, the left arm spinner played a key role in helping India win test matches. In test matches, he picked 5 wickets in a match, 7 times and 10 wickets in an innings only 1. During MS Dhoni time, Ojha was a part of the team which became the number 1 test side in the world. It is sad to see such a good spinner fade away.
His behavior after today’s match was not great and lost his cool bowling a full toss which led to his team losing the match.
