Shahid Afridi the Pakistani Cricket all-rounder has(possibly) retired from the international cricket but yesterday he perhaps pulled off one of the best catches seen in the game during a match in the ongoing Pakistan super league.

The Karachi Kings player in the third edition of Pakistan Super League, Afridi put everyone back to the years went by and completed a magnificent effort at the boundary line in the second match of the T20 franchise tournament that kicked off on Thursday 22nd February in Dubai.

The left-handed batsmen Umar Amin was at the striker”s end against Mohammed Irfan Jr during the run chase for Quetta Gladiators. Umar really well dissected the ball which was actually directed as a yorker and cleared his front leg, freed his arms and swung through the line with his elbows showing upwards in a classic shot.

He hadn’t meddled it, however, and ended up hitting it more upwards than onwards and beyond the boundary line. Stationed at long on, Afridi was a few inches ahead of the boundary ropes. With the ball well over his head, he stretched his right hand, caught the ball out of thin air, threw the ball back just and finished off one of his best.

Then the moment that everyone remembers Afridi for arrived, he pulled out his routine celebration of standing tall with raised hands on the ground as his teammates gathered around him in jubilation and the crowds started celebrating the happiness with their favorite.

Watching him take this catch at the age of ???..Well, let”s just say his age, was a real sight to behold for everyone watching. The pun here is that Afridi is one of the most handsome looking cricketers hardly looks a retired player. Hence, what exactly his age is, is a debatable issue.

Video of this catch though has gone viral on various social media platforms and has been widely appreciated there as well.

Long live the “Lala” magic.
