10 Major Records broken and created in AUSvsIND T20I series: So after the thrilling T20I bilateral series, it is India who emerged as giant champions as they thrashed the Aussies to a whitewash in their home turf. The visitors put on a commendable performances in the second half of the tour and managed to square the tour 4-4 after they were 4-0 down. Many records were broken and created throughout the series and we list out some interesting stats from the epic KFC Twenty20 International series.

Virat Kohli became the first batsman to smash 3 scores of 50 or more in a T20I bilateral series.
  1. In 140 years of cricket history, Australia have never been whitewashed in a series of 3 or more matches in their home turf. This is the first instance when Aussies were humiliated in their backyard by the Indians.

 

  1. Virat Kohli scored 199 runs in the series, which is the most by any batsman in a T20I bilateral series. His strike-rate being 160.4 and scored at a staggering average of 199.

 

  1. India chased the highest total ever in T20Is in Australia. They scored 200 after being set a target of 198 in the 3rd T20I.

 

  1. Virat Kohli has smashed 7 scores of 50+ in the tour (8 innings) which is the most in a tour of Australia. Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar has 6 scores of 50+ in 14 and 11 innings respectively.
