Team India will take on Bangladesh in a three-match One-day international series starting on 4 December 2022. Rohit Sharma along with KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, and Virat Kohli makes a comeback into the squad after being rested for the ODI series against New Zealand.

Mohammed Shami has been ruled out of the series due to an injury Umran Malik will be his replacement. The India team would look to improve their batting as they struggled in New Zealand conditions.

The pitch at the Sher-E-Bangla Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka could be ideal for batting and the big India stars would look to cash on it.

Here we look at the 3 India players to look out for in the ODI series against Bangladesh

  1. Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli will be making a comeback to the team after taking a rest in the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand. He has been in excellent form of late as a leading run-getter during the T20 World Cup played in Australia.

Kohli has a brilliant record against Bangladesh in Bangladesh. He played a total of 8 matches on Bangladeshi soil with 544 runs at an average of 91. His best score in ODI cricket in Bangladesh is 136. It has been a remarkable record by King Kohli as he scored 3 centuries and 3 half-centuries.

King Kohli would be eager to show their class against the Bangladesh team and score his 72nd century in international cricket.

  1. Washington Sundar

Washington Sundar performed brilliantly in the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand. He showed his class with the bat with a quickfire cameo of 37 off 16 balls in the first ODI at Eden Park, Auckland, and then scored his maiden ODI half-century in 3rd ODI at Hagley Oval, Christchurch where the rest of the batting line-up failed.

Sundar has been doing well in recent times during the 50-over format after coming back from injury. With the likes of Axar Patel and Shahbaz Ahmed as spinners, he would be the frontrunner with his batting down the order.

His consistency with the ball makes him a decent bowler and impressed with his hitting abilities. He could be an asset during the ODI series against the Bangladesh side.

  1. Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj has improved as a limited-overs format bowler. He was not a part of the ODI squad for the 3-match ODI series against New Zealand as Men in Blue lost the series 0-1.

With no Shami in the squad due to an injury, Siraj would lead the attack and look to provide early wickets. Siraj has taken so far 18 wickets from 13 matches (13 innings) at an economy of 4.74 runs per over.

Indian team would rely on him to trouble the Bangladeshi opening batters. His performances in recent times auger well for Men in Blue during the ODI series.
