Varun CV, better known as Varun Chakravarthy took five 20 against Delhi Capitals to help his team get a much important win at this stage of IPL 2020. He ripped apart the DC batting order as he flummoxed the batters in his web of spin.

Varun Chakravarthy’s spell of five for 20 is the best bowling figures ever bowled in the IPL in UAE. he dismissed Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer and Axar Patel to enter the IPL history books. Prior to the match, Lakshmipathy Balaji held the record for the best IPL bowling figures (4/13) in the UAE.

2. Best Bowling Spell by an Indian Player for KKR
Varun Chakravarthy’s second feat was that he registered the best ever figures bowled by an Indian player for Kolkata Knight Riders. Lakshmipaty Balaji had the best figures (4/18) by an Indian KKR player.
Players like Umesh Yadav, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Vinay Kumar and Ajit Agarkar has played for the side in the past. Kuldeep incidentally is still a part of the side. He joined the franchise in 2014.
3. Best IPL Bowling Figures By an Uncapped Bowler
Uncapped bowlers in the past have honed their skills in this league in the past. This has been the breeding ground for many such bowlers in the past. Varun Chakravarthy’s spell helped him to become the best-uncapped bowler to take five wickets in the IPL.
