The board may choose these players for five T20 International matches against the West Indies in August in light of their stellar recent performances.

India’s teams for the Test and ODI series in the West Indies were recently announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

India will participate in three ODIs, five T20 Internationals (T20I), and two Tests during their tour of the Caribbean islands.

Rohit Sharma will serve as the team’s captain for the ODI and Test teams, while Hardik Pandya might do the same for the T20I squad.

Let’s take a look at some uncapped players who could join Team India for T20Is soon.

3 uncapped players who might be chosen for India’s T20I campaign for the West Indies tour

3. Tushar Deshpande

Tushar Deshpande has participated in a significant amount of domestic cricket in India. In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2014–15, he made his Mumbai debut in April 2015 against Odisha.

Deshpande has played in 59 T20 matches since then. He has taken 83 wickets with an 8 point 68 economy rate.

His recent T20 statistics are outstanding, and the pacer gave his home team Mumbai excellent ball service.

Deshpande was a key contributor to Mumbai’s historic victory in 2022, when they won the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for the first time. He claimed 17 wickets in 10 games at an economy rate of 6 points 72.

2. The Rinku Singh

India’s team for the upcoming five-match T20I series may include Rinku Singh. In IPL 2023, the left-handed batter for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) displayed exceptional skill.

He was the top run-scorer for KKR in the competition after scoring 474 runs with four half-centuries in 14 games at a strike rate of 149.52.

He played the role of a match-finisher for Knight Riders in this IPL season, helping the two-time champions to a few victories.

Rinku stands a good chance of joining the team that will tour the Caribbean islands in August if selectors are convinced by these figures and facts.

He previously looked fantastic during the domestic season of 2022–2023. He batted with assurance for Uttar Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022–23.

1. Yashasvi Jaiswal

When playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR), Yashasvi Jaiswal had a fantastic IPL season.

He finished the competition as the fifth-highest run-scorer with 625 runs, a century, and five fifty-sevens in 14 games at a strike rate of 163 points sixty-one.

The left-handed batter’s IPL performance will undoubtedly entice selectors, and they may place their trust in him.

Jaiswal contributed effectively to Mumbai’s remarkable trophy win in the Syed Mushtaq Alli Trophy 2022–23. He scored 266 runs with a half-century in nine innings of 10 games at a strike rate of 141–48.

He also moved up to second place among Mumbai’s run scorers in the competition with these batting numbers.
