Royal Challengers Bangalore are yet to open their account in the points table. RCB Led by Indian skipper Virat Kohli, the side has a lot of international and local stars in the side. Yet the side is finding it difficult to create an impact in the Indian Premier League.

Former cricketers, Critics and Commentators are sharing their views on the team combination and even few of them took a dig against Kohli for his poor decision-making skills. There are a lot of reasons for their dismal display on the field.

Six Fittest Cricketers in the World Cricket

Let”s now discuss four major reasons behind RCB unsuccessful stint:

1) RCB Dependence on Kohli and AB de Villiers

This has been the story of RCB since 2017. After ending up as runners in 2016 edition, the side hasn”t been at their best till now. There are only few other cosnistent performers from the side other than these two living legends and this has become a big problem for the side.

In this season, Virat tried batting in several positions. However, the results weren”t fruitful enough. AB de Villiers” gem of an innings against Kolkata Knight Riders wasn”t enough to save the side from an embarrassing defeat.

Major reliance on them is really a worry and it is the responsibility of other players to blesses the burden on them.

2) Inconsistent middle order for RCB

Shimron Hetmyer, who was expected to be the X-factor for this edition of IPL, failed miserably. Not just Hetmyer, the likes of Shivam Dube and Grandhomme couldn”t just turn the results in their favour.

In fact, all three of them aren”t a part of RCB playing XI for some time now  The batting positions of Moeen Ali is still a dilemma for the side. Though the tires to give his best, his role hasn”t been designed precisely.

3) Poor bowling line up For RCB

While Navdeep Saini is showing the world
the power of indian bowling with his constant pace of 145+ kmph, others aren”t
supporting him upto the mark. Tim Southee,Umesh, Siraj and Grandhomme went for
a plethora of runs in most of the games. Chahal, though found his place in the
column of leading wicket-takers, the opposition is just taking him for a ride
in middle overs.

their seventh game and can they shuffle the line-up may be?

4) Sloppy Fielding For RCB

A comedy of errors in the field cost them a lot of games. In fact, the side that has dropped the maximum number of catches in this edition of IPL is Royal Challengers Bangalore. We could see the fielders dropping the catches with their butter fingers during the most important phase of the game. In the game against Kolkata Knight Riders, may catches were dropped and it really made captain Kohli very aggressive.
