1. Lasith Malinga
The current bowling coach of Mumbai Indians and Sri Lankan great Lasith Malinga is the leading wicket-taker in IPL. He made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in 2009 and played for Mumbai Indians franchise till 2017.
Malinga has played 110 matches and taken 154 wickets with an economy of 6.86. His ability to bowl Yorkers made him a dangerous bowler to face. His best figures were 5/13, also taken 4 wickets in an innings 4 times and 5 wickets only 1.
2. Amit Mishra
The right arm leg-spinner Amit Mishra is second among leading wicket-takers in IPL. He made his IPL debut in 2008 and is still playing till date. Since making his debut, he has played for 3 franchises including Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad and currently playing for Delhi Daredevils.
The veteran spinner has been a star in IPL, taking 138 wickets from 131 matches at an economy of 7.43 runs per over. In the IPL, Amit Mishra took 3 hattricks and made a name for him. He can deceive the batsman with his flight, variety and speed which can create trouble big time.
3. Piyush Chawla
Another leg-spinner in Indian Premier League history, Piyush Chawla has also performed well with the ball. He has played for Kings XI Punjab and currently playing for Kolkata Knight Riders.
Piyush Chawla played from 2008 till 2013 for Kings XI Punjab. From 2014 onwards, Chawla has represented Kolkata Knight Riders. The leg-spinner has taken 134 wickets from 138 matches with an economy of 7.64 runs per over. His best figures came for Kings XI Punjab of 4/17 in the 2011 edition. Apart from that, he has picked 4 wickets in a match twice and no 5 wickets haul.
4. Harbhajan Singh
One of the best test bowlers for Indian Cricket team has been exceptional with the ball. He has played for Mumbai Indians and currently playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2018. Harbhajan Singh made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians and played till 2017 edition.
Harbhajan Singh was bought by Chennai Super Kings franchise in 2018 edition of IPL. The veteran off-spinner has taken 131 wickets from 143 matches with an economy of 6.97 runs per over. His best figures were 5/18 in the 2011 edition for Mumbai Indians.
In the 2018 edition of IPL, Harbhajan Singh has taken only 4 wickets from 7 matches at an economy of 7.48 runs per over.
5. Dwayne Bravo
The West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has been a good performer in Indian Premier League history with the ball. He made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians from 2008 and played till 2010 in MI franchise.
From 2011 onwards, Bravo represented Chennai Super Kings and continued till 2015. He then was a part of Gujarat Lions squad for the year 2016 and 2017. Again he was selected in CSK squad in 2018 edition.
Bravo has taken 129 wickets from 115 matches with an economy of 8.35 runs per over. His best figures in IPL are 4/22 for Gujarat Lions in 2016 edition. In 2018 edition of IPL so far, Bravo has taken 7 wickets from 9 matches and also scored 118 runs.
