The 2021 IPL auction is all set to take place on 18th February with Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar marking his debut in the auction. It is likely that the youngster will be picked by Mumbai Indians as he’s been training with the franchise for the last few years.
If Arjun Tendulkar does get picked, he will join the list of star kids who have featured in the IPL. From Rohan Gavaskar to Stuart Binny, the list is backed by the biggest names which are why it will be interesting to see if any franchise puts forward a bid for Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar.

1. Stuart Binny
Stuart Binny is the son of former India pacer Roger Binny best known for his impressive bowling performance in the 1983 Cricket World Cup where he was the highest wicket-taker. In the period between 2014-2016, Stuart Binny was a trending topic in Indian cricket. Right from getting picked in India’s squad for the 2015 World Cup to his subsequent ouster from the nation due to lack of consistent performances.

The batting all-rounder who batted in the middle order and bowled medium pace was one of the few players to be retained by Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2014 IPL Auction. After having represented Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals picking 22 wickets and scoring 880 runs in 95 IPL matches went unsold in the 2020 IPL auction and is very much expected to stay the same in 2021 after having not featured in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy this season.

2. Yuvraj Singh
The left-handed all-rounder has been one of the highest-paid cricketers in IPL history after having represented Kings XI Punjab, Pune Warriors, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals), Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Mumbai Indians in his IPL career.

Yuvraj Singh’s IPL career came to an end after he announced his retirement in 2019. The all-rounder finished his IPL career on a high after winning the IPL championship with Mumbai Indians.

3. Mitchell Marsh
The youngest son of Rod Marsh, Mitchell Marsh’s career has been about ups and downs majorly impacted with severe injuries. The all-rounder first played in the IPL in 2010 for the Deccan Chargers under the leadership of Adam Gilchrist.

Post which he went on to represent the Pune Warriors India in 2010, followed by a stint with the Rising Pune Super Giant in 2016-17, and then his latest participation came during the 2020 IPL for the Sunrisers Hyderabad where he ruled out after playing just 1 match, eventually getting replaced by Jason Holder in the squad.

4. Shaun Marsh
Shaun Marsh is the elder brother of Mitchell Marsh who has represented the Kings XI Punjab franchise from 2008 to 2017. The left-handed batsman is the longest-serving player for the Punjab based franchise after having represented them in 77 matches and scoring over 2000 runs. During the inaugural season of the IPL, Shaun was the orange cap winner with 616 runs under his belt.

Ahead of the 2018 IPL, Shaun Marsh was released by Kings Xi Punjab after a 10-year long association and hasn’t been part of the IPL ever since. Recently, Shaun Marsh played for the Melbourne Renegades franchise in the 2020-21 edition of the Big Bash League under the leadership of Aaron Finch.

5. Rohan Gavaskar
Rohan Gavaskar is the son of Indian batting legend Sunil Gavaskar, who played just one match for the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2009 after the BCCI granted amnesty to 79 ICL players. Despite being a legend for the Bengal Ranji side, Rohan had a short-lived international career for the Indian side after having played just 4 ODIs in 2004.
