KL Rahul had an exceptional IPL season 11 for Kings XI Punjab. He scored 659 runs in 14 matches with an average of 54.91. During the tournament, the stylish right-handed opener hit 6 half centuries and was the lone batsman to carry Kings XI Punjab hopes of reaching the playoff stages but did not get support from others in the team.

Before the IPL, KL Rahul got only 2 chances to bat out of 3 matches he played in the Nidahas Tri-series including hosts Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in March this year, got starts but was not able to score big runs.

He has played 15 T20Is for team India and has a good average of 45.45 with the best score of 110*. KL Rahul could be an option at number 4 during the T20I series against Ireland and England, due to the brilliant form that was shown by him in IPL 11.

With limited success in IPL 11 for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Manish Pandey has been kept in the T20I team for the tour of Ireland and England. The right-handed batsman, played well in the Nidahas Trophy Tri-series in March this year scoring 134 runs from 4 innings. With main players rested for the entire series, Manish Pandey proved to be a valuable player. He remained not out on 2 occasions in that series.

Manish Pandey made his T20I debut for India in 2015 against Zimbabwe. Since his debut, the right-handed batsman played just 23 matches and scored 494 runs. His best score in 20 over was 79* during a 2nd T20I match against South Africa on 21st Feb.

Competing with Suresh Raina, Dinesh Karthik, we have to see if Manish Pandey gets a chance in the 2 T20I matches against Ireland. Given a chance in playing XI, he would be eager to establish himself.

During the limited overs version series against South Africa, Chahal performed brilliantly in the ODI series but could not perform to the expected level.

In the Nidahas Trophy Tri- series held in March this year, Chahal took 8 wickets from 5 matches. He will be important for India during the T20I series against Ireland and England. Playing for the first time in England, Chahal would be looking to pick wickets in his 4 overs, helping team India to win matches with his brilliant bowling.

Hardik Pandya, the talented medium pace all-rounder will be looking to contribute with bat and ball. He had a disappointing series of South Africa apart from one brilliant knock. In the T20I series against Ireland, Pandya would be eager to showcase his skills.

The young right arm off spinner Washington Sundar has been included in the squad for T20I series against Ireland and England. He was picked for the Nidahas Tri-series as R Ashwin, R Jadeja was rested for the series.

Sundar bowled exceptionally well in the power play overs and picked a total of 8 wickets with consistent line and lengths.  He did not perform according to expectations in IPL 11 for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Washington Sundar might not get a chance in the playing XI, as Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal are the two frontline spinners for the T20I series.

The right arm pace bowler had an outstanding IPL 11 season for Sunrisers Hyderabad picking up 21 wickets from 17 matches with an economy of 8.28 runs per over. He impressed with his pace and played a key role in helping SRH to reach the finals.

Because of his decent performances in IPL 11, Kaul has been rewarded with a place in the T20I squad to tour Ireland and England. He might be given a chance in the T20I matches against Ireland. The experience for Kaul would be of great advantage to Indian pace bowling.
