Even cricketers can”t help but fall in love! Love marriage is not something you see much in India, but here are 8 cricketers who actually married their sweethearts:-

1. Sourav Ganguly:

Sourav”s and Dona”s families were neighbours in Kolkata and Dada fell in love with his neighbour! Unfortunately the two families turned foes but that did not stop Dada and Dona from dating, secretly. In 1996, Dada and Dona got married at the registrar”s office. Their families did not succeed in breaking them apart and a formal ceremony did take place!

2. Sachin Tendulkar:

Sachin Tendulkar”s love story tells us that Anjali and Sachin were meant to be! Anjali first saw Sachin at the Mumbai Airport and had no idea he was the ” big thing ” in Indian cricket then. Thanks to a co-incidence , the two met at a mutual friend”s place and fell in love. Anjali is 5 years elder to Sachin but age is never a factor when it”s actually true love, is it? Both the families did not try to hinder the marriage and everything went well!

3. MS Dhoni:

MS Dhoni met Sakshi at a Taj hotel for the first time. Later, he was introduced to Sakshi by his manager Yudhajit Dutta and that was when cupid struck! After days of coaxing, Sakshi finally agreed to date Dhoni. The couple got married in 2010 after being engaged for a mere 24 hours.

This is probably the best love story of the lot! Chetana was in an unhappy marriage when Anil met her at a Travel agency. The two fell in love and Chetana asked her husband for a divorce. In no time, Kumble and Chetana got married. Chetana already had a child. Kumble has proven to be a gentleman on the field, but this proves how virtuous he is off as well!

Dinesh Karthik was married to Nikita first. During the 2010 IPL season Dinesh Karthik and Murali Vijay grew close and so did his wife. The affair between Murali Vijay and Dinesh Karthik”s wife soon became public and the couple divorced. However, DK gave love a second shot and married Squash player Deepika Pallikal.

7. Ajinkya Rahane:

Rahane used to be a reserved person during his childhood and his dad had to push him to interact. Ajinkya met Radhika in his school and soon became friends with her, the friends turned lovers tied the knot in September 2014.

8. Rohit Sharma:

Rohit couldn”t help but fall in love with his sports manager Ritika! They had known each other for six years before Rohit popped the question! The couple married in 2015 and Ritika is now pregnant.
