The Indian A squad will take part in the tri-series with England Lions and West Indies A from 22nd June 2018. It comprises of young players who performed well in the recently concluded Indian Premier League 11 for various franchises and showed their class in the domestic circuit.
Under the captaincy of Sheryas Iyer, the youngsters would be looking to make a mark and take this opportunity as a stepping stone to move into the Indian national team. Rahul Dravid will be with the team as the coach and a force to reckon guide for the youngsters.

The young right-handed batsman Prithvi Shaw came to limelight in one of the most famous junior cricket tournament scoring 546 against St Francis. He showed his class for Delhi Daredevils in his maiden IPL season in 2018. Shaw scored 245 runs from 9 matches with a great strike rate of 153.12.

He hit 2 half centuries and had the best score of 65 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Shaw had scored 261 runs in the Under 19 World Cup 2018 held in New Zealand that made his entry into IPL easy.
He became the youngest to score a century in the Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy debut. In domestic cricket, Shaw has played 10 first class, 13 List A and 9 T20’s matches. The young talented batsman would be looking to impress Indian selectors on his maiden India A tour with his aggressive stroke play.
2. Shubman Gill

In his maiden IPL tournament, Gill impressed with his stroke play scoring 203 runs from 13 matches with an impressive strike rate of 146.04. He played a key role in helping KKR reach the playoffs. 3. Mayank Agarwal
The Karnataka opener had a dream run in the domestic season for year 2017/18. He scored 1160 runs from 8 matches with an average of 105.45. During the Ranji Trophy season, Mayank Agarwal hit 5 centuries and 2 centuries. His best score in the tournament was 304*.

In November 2017, Mayank Agarwal scored 1003 runs in a single month and made the batting history in Ranji Trophy. In the T20 format Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Mayank Agarwal made 258 runs from 9 matches with a strike rate of 144.94. In that tournament, Mayank hit 3 half centuries. He continued his impressive in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017/18 finishing as leading runs scorer with 723 runs from 8 matches with an average of 90.37. In that tournament, he hit 3 centuries and 4 half-centuries.
Overall he hit 2141 runs in the 2017/18 season. He was not selected in the India senior team despite the consistent performance in the entire domestic season, but his performance in recently IPL 11 was not encouraging. Playing for Kings XI Punjab he scored just 120 runs from 11 matches with substantial contributions.
The tri-series gives a chance to Mayank Agarwal to prove his abilities with the bat in India A squad for the first time and could do justice with his hard-hitting stroke play.
The stylish left-handed batsman made his first-class debut for Delhi in October 2015. During 2016/17 Ranji Trophy season, Pant hit 308 against Maharashtra and became the 4th overall player to score a triple century in first-class cricket. He has played 21 First Class matches, 25 List A matches and 55 T20s.

Pant made his international debut for India against England on 1st February 2017 and got to bat just 3 balls scoring 5 runs. He has played 4 T20I matches for team India. In 2018 Nidahas Tri series involving Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Pant could not perform according to expectations.
Last year he was named in India senior squad to West Indies did not get find a place in the playing XI throughout the 5 match ODI series and 1 T20I match.
He was retained by Delhi Daredevils this season. He made 684 runs from 14 matches, finished the IPL 2018 edition as 2nd leading runs scorer. He hit 8 half centuries and 1 century to his name with the best score of 128*. His strike rate in the tournament was 173.60.
His batting strength though did not help Delhi Daredevils to reach the playoff stage; he will be looking forward to an excellent ODI tri-series to move into the senior team.
5. Deepak Chahar
Starved of pace bowlers the Indian selectors would be looking at this young right-handed fast bowler to fill in the gap of Mohammad Shami in upcoming test tour of England. He performed brilliantly picking early wickets and putting pressure on the opposition batsmen. Deepak Chahar was one of the key bowlers which helped CSK win matches with his brilliant bowling.
Deepak Chahar picked a total of 10 wickets in 12 matches with the best figure of 3/15. With the conditions helpful for fast bowlers, it would be an ideal chance for Chahar to do the job with new ball with good talented pacers in the side.
Krunal Pandya a decent all-rounder who bowls left-arm spin and bats at the middle order for Mumbai Indians. He was bought by Mumbai Indians using Right to match card this season. He has been playing for Mumbai Indians since 2016.

He scored 228 runs from 14 matches in this year’s edition with the best score of 41* at a strike rate of 145.22. With the ball, he took 12 wickets from 14 matches at an economy of 7.07 runs per over. His best figures in the tournament were 3/28.
Last year he was picked on India A limited overs tour of South Africa and had a good tour. After this year IPL too, Krunal Pandya would be hoping to do well with both and ball, be contention for all-rounder spot in limited overs version though the chances are minimal as there is a big competition of spinning all-rounders.
7. K Gowtham
The young all-rounder from Karnataka played his debut IPL season in 2018 for Rajasthan Royals. K Gowtham made useful contributions with the ball, the young right arm off spinner picked 11 wickets from 15 matches with an economy of 7.80 runs per over. His best in the tournament was 2/12.
Coming down the order he showed his batting skills helping Rajasthan Royals to win a few matches with his quick-fire knocks. He made 126 runs in 15 matches with a healthy strike rate of 196.87 with the best score of 33* against Mumbai Indians.
With his good performances in IPL 11, he would aspire to perform well in this One day international series with both and ball and stake a claim in the Indian senior team.
8. Prasidh Krishna
Another talented Indian fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has played only 1 first Class match, 19 List A matches and 10 T20S for Karnataka. He was called as a replacement for Kamlesh Nagarkoti and then replaced the injured Shivam Mavi in his debut match against Mumbai Indians on 6th May 2018.
He performed brilliantly with the ball taking 10 wickets from 7 matches with an economy of 9.28 runs per over. His best performance was 4/30 against Kings XI Punjab at Indore. Prasidh Krishna would be eager to do well in ODI tri-series and establish himself as an alternate pace bowler for the Indian senior team.
