Apart from his achievements and cricketing abilities, MS Dhoni has always been recognized for his humble nature. Dhoni retired from international cricket about two years ago. But the 40-year Old’s fame and fandom doesn’t seem to be downed at all.

Recently, Dhoni played an unbeaten knock of 28* off 13, against their arch rivals Mumbai Indians (MI). The wicket-keeper batter smashed left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat for 16 runs in the final four balls, sealing the victory for CSK. His short but match-winning knock involved three boundaries and a six.

Dhoni received high praise for his unforgettable contribution to the match. But more than all this, the CSK skipper has received the most endearing prize an athlete will ever achieve.

Dhoni received a hand-written letter from a 9-year-old boy named Arjun Krishna, from California. The letter seems to be written on April 29 and Arjun has nothing but praise for his star. The 9-year-old admires Dhoni and fancies being like him.

In the letter, Arjun says that when CSK won the IPL 2021, he was jumping for five minutes! “My dad plays for Cricket Bay. His team is called the California Super Kings. Go CSK,” Arjun marked stating that they have ‘CSK’ in common. He concluded the memo by signing off as, “Your Friend.”

The picture of the letter is believed to have been tweeted by Arjun’s mother and is retweeted by his father via Twitter. The caption read, “Letter to Thala from a true 9-year-old fanatic!”

CSK To next face arch-rivals Mumbai Indians on Thursday

Mahendra Singh Dhoni is certainly the most senior player active in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 and is leading the four-time champions. Dhoni is undoubtedly one of the best finishers, the game of cricket has ever had. During his long stint of 15 years with the national team, the 40-year-old won so many matches for his side. With no different status in the IPL, Dhoni has been the best part of Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Besides, Dhoni-led CSK is set to face MI again on Thursday, May 12, at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Playing their 12th group stage match, both the teams are out of the tournament virtually.
