After an embarrassing defeat at the hands of arch rivals just a couple of days ago, Indian cricket has dealt another major blow. According to reports, Anil Kumble has stepped down as a coach on the last day of his one-year long coaching contract.
Kumble also didn”t accompany team India on their way to Caribbean and now has reportedly stepped down from his position. After the reports of rift between the coach and some players, BCCI invited fresh applications for the coaching job which also included the application of the current coach.
CAC was expected to resolve the issue between the players and the coach but Anil certainly had enough of all the drama and decided to call it quits. As usual several people took to twitter to express the disappointment of mistreatment of Kumble terming it as a massive loss to Indian cricket. Here is all the action from the twitter:
Kumble made it easier for old friends Laxman, Dada, Sachin. They would've been in a fix if they had to choose between his and Kohli's words.

If it is true that @anilkumble1074 has stepped down as coach, Indian cricket has let itself lose an outstanding resource.

@anilkumble1074 stepping down shows even CAC (Sachin, Ganguly, Laxman) failed to broker peace between him and Virat Kohli…

.@BishanBedi, then @therealkapildev and now Anil kumble, none of India's legends have survived as team coach owing to clash with captains

This might be the first major error of judgment from @imVkohli who obviously will not see this tweet as he is staying away from social media

Today was the last day of Anil Kumble's contract and he does not want to continue further as Indian team's coach.

I didn't think Kumble would agree to go to WI unless his acceptance was unconditional. Clearly that's not so. Sad, sad development..

Kumble steps down as India's coach! Before you start judging & hating Virat Kohli, let Kumble speak up & dont let Indian media speak for him
