The England Cricket Team will visit for a 5-match Test series against hosts India from 25th January onwards. It promises to be an exciting series as Indian fans will be waiting for bazeball on Indian pitches and put to rest.
England became the only team to register a historic Test series win on Indian soil in 2012. They have been not able to perform well in 2016 losing by 0-4 in five five-match test series during 2016-17. The last time they visited Indian shores was during 2020-21, The England team won the first test at Chennai and then lost the next three matches to lose the series 1-3.
Under the captaincy of Ben Stokes and the coaching of Brendon McCullum, they have been on the rise with test series against New Zealand, and South Africa at home. They registered a historic whitewash against Pakistan in Pakistan and drew the Ashes series 2023 at 2-2 after being 0-2 down.
“India is waiting. There has been a lot of talk about Indian cricket, and there has been a lot of talk about Bazball, and the two of them are just about to meet. A lot of Indian fans are waiting to see Bazball and put it to bed,” Nasser Hussain said on Sky Sports Cricket.
“If the Indian management asked for good pitches that spin, then I think their spinners and batters will out-spin and out-bat ours. If they ask for pitches that are a bit of lottery, and it turns huge, then I think it brings England’s spinners into it as well,” Hussain further added.
The England Cricket Team has included 4 spinners including Jack Leach, Rehan Ahmed, and uncapped spinners Shoaib Bashir and Tom Hartley. They would look to prove their worth bowling against the best batters including Rohit Sharma, Kohli, Jaiswal, and Gill in the batting lineups.
