After Excelling For Chennai Super Kings In The IPL, 3 Indian Players Resurrected Their International Careers

In the IPL 2023 final, Chennai Super Kings defeated Gujarat Titans by five wickets. One of the most prosperous cricket franchises in history is Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Since their debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2008, CSK has won five IPL titles.

One of the main factors in MS Dhoni’s captaincy’s success with CSK is his leadership.

After joining the Chennai-based IPL franchise, a number of players saw their careers soar to new heights.

In the IPL 2023, Ajinkya Rahane played a key role for the Chennai Super Kings

1. Ajinkya Rahane.

When CSK’s team owners raised the pedal for Ajinkya Rahane at the IPL Auction 2023, they shocked the crowd.

Between 2020 and 2022, Rahane’s IPL performance was rather underwhelming. In a span of four seasons, he was cut loose by three different teams.

The right-handed batter, though, did not let Chennai Super Kings down after they gave him a chance. In IPL 2023, fans saw a brand-new Rahane.

This season, he batted with more purpose and provided Chennai with some significant runs. He made a significant contribution to CSK’s success in the IPL 2023.

Rahane’s impressive IPL play and respectable first-class cricket performances led to his recall to the Indian Test squad for the World Test Championship Final 2023.

Rahane scored 89 runs against Australia in his debut international cricket innings.

2. Shashi Nehra.

In the year 2011, Ashish Nehra was discharged from the Indian team. Nehra had to put in a lot of effort to earn his spot back in the Indian team.

Between 2011 and 2013, Nehra participated in games for the Pune Warriors and Delhi Daredevils.

In 2014, he transferred to Chennai Super Kings. He resurrected his career by taking 30 wickets in 20 games at a 7 point68 economy rate.

He was able to rejoin Team India in 2016 thanks to his outstanding bowling performances for Chennai Super Kings.

3. Ambati Rayudu.

After the 2016 tour of Zimbabwe, Ambati Rayudu lost his spot in India’s ODI and T20I teams. In 2017, he did not have even one opportunity to play international cricket.

In 2018, Rayudu transferred from the Mumbai Indians to the Chennai Super Kings, where he scored 602 runs to resurrect his career.

He played a key role in the team’s championship victory and was quickly called back to the India ODI squad.

He was a member of the Asia Cup team that won the championship in the United Arab Emirates.
