After Rashid Khan, This Afghanistan Player Set To Play Vitality Blast Tournament

The 33-year-old Afghan all-rounder has the experience of 160 T20 matches in which he has scored 2191 runs at a strike rate of 140, with six half-centuries scored. Nabi”s right-arm off spin has also picked up 182 wickets at 20.58 with four four-wicket hauls. He becomes the second Afghanistan player to sign up for T20 Blast, with Sussex having signed Rashid Khan earlier.

Mohammad Nabi, the Afghanistani stalwart all-rounder, will play in the upcoming 2018 season of England”s domestic T20 competition after signing up for Leicestershire as their overseas player. The club announced on Wednesday, Nabi as their second overseas player with Pakistan”s Mohammed Abbas as the other.

Talking about this development, Nabi was quoted saying,  “I have heard a lot of good things about the Foxes. I am looking forward to working with Paul Nixon and joining a professional and ambitious county with a good track record in T20.”

Paul Nixon the ex England cricketer and the current head coach of Leicestershire said “I know all about Mohammad Nabi”s qualities in the game. He can make a huge impact on our middle order and is an off-break bowler who operates with great control and skill. Nabi has a brilliant white ball record for Afghanistan and in T20 competitions around the world. He is exactly the type of player that we were looking for and is somebody who will fit in beautifully here.”

Nabi is been very famous among the various T20 clubs & franchisees around the world across different leagues. Indian fans will remember he is a Sunrises Hyderabad player in the Indian Premier League.
