Former All-Rounder Lauds Akash Deep’s Overseas Spell

Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan lauded Akash Deep for his showing in the Test series against England, awarding him a seven out of 10. In a video posted on his YouTube channel, Pathan remarked:

“Akash Deep gets seven out of ten. His 10 wickets at Birmingham, including key dismissals of Harry Brook and Joe Root, were among the best overseas spells by an Indian bowler. His half-century as a nightwatchman at The Oval was crucial in shifting momentum. While his bowling there could’ve been better, his overall impact was outstanding,” said Irfan Pathan.

In total, Akash Deep has appeared in 10 Test matches, where he has taken 28 wickets at an average of 35.78 and a strike rate of 54.8, including a single five-wicket haul.
