Fans and former cricketers are disappointed with the continuous failures of once a champion team. The team just kept on declining after the retirement of big names. World Cup-winning captain Arjuna Ranatunga has lashed out at Sri Lanka after the team’s horror show in England. Arjuna even asked the fans to stop watching Sri Lanka’s matches on the television. Also, Ranatunga targeted the team’s cricket board for the decline in the quality of cricket in the country due to mismanagement.

“We must stop watching matches even on TV. What we saw during the England tour is the culmination of accumulated mismanagement, corruption, and indiscipline. The board is responsible for this sorry state of affairs,” he said according to Island Cricket.
