Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, is reportedly engaged to Saaniya Chandok, the granddaughter of well-known Mumbai businessman Ravi Ghai. As per an India Today report dated Wednesday, August 13, the couple’s engagement was held in a private ceremony attended by close family members and friends from both sides.
The report further states that the Ghai family is a prominent name in the hospitality and food industries, owning the InterContinental hotel and the popular ice cream brand Brooklyn Creamery. Saaniya, a graduate of the London School of Economics, is an entrepreneur and founder of Mr Paws, a pet salon in Mumbai.
Arjun was a member of the Mumbai Indians (MI) squad, owned by Nita Ambani, during the 2025 IPL season. The 25-year-old was signed by the franchise for ₹30 lakh but did not get a chance to play in any match of the tournament. Under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, MI’s campaign concluded with a loss to Punjab Kings (PBKS) in Qualifier 2.
In total, Arjun has appeared in five IPL matches, all for Mumbai Indians, claiming three wickets at an average of 38.00 and maintaining an economy rate of 9.36.

Born in Mumbai, Arjun Tendulkar moved to Goa ahead of the 2022–23 domestic season and made his first-class debut in December. With the bat, the left-hander has scored 532 runs at an average of 23.13, which includes two half-centuries and a century.
In List A cricket, Arjun has played 18 matches, securing 25 wickets at an average of 31.32 and a strike rate of 35.0, with best bowling figures of 4/30. In the T20 format, he has appeared in 24 games, claiming 27 wickets at an average of 25.07 and maintaining an economy rate of 8.75.
