Asia Cup 2023: Rahul Dravid Spotted Watching The Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh Match

At present, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are in the midst of their second match in the Super Four stage of the 2023 Asia Cup. Bangladesh is in dire need of a victory in their current match against Sri Lanka.

Following their loss to Pakistan in the first Super Four stage game, Shakib Al Hasan’s team must secure a win in Colombo to remain competitive. India has not yet competed in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup.

Meanwhile, head coach Rahul Dravid and other members of India’s coaching staff have traveled to the R Premadasa Stadium to observe the Sri Lanka vs. Bangladesh match.

The ‘Men in Blue’ will play against Sri Lanka on Tuesday, September 12 in Colombo, and their match against Bangladesh is scheduled for Friday, September 15 at the same location.

However, before these two matches, Rohit Sharma and his team will concentrate on securing a victory in the highly anticipated Sunday showdown against arch-rivals Pakistan.

The first meeting between these two teams concluded without a result due to rain interference in Pallekele. The possibility of rain disrupting the match remains a concern, as the weather forecast for September 10 doesn’t look promising.

Cricket fans will be anxiously awaiting and hoping that the game goes ahead, as India-Pakistan clashes are a rare occurrence these days, for obvious reasons.

KL Rahul practices wicketkeeping ahead of the Pakistan match

KL Rahul, initially excluded from the first two Group A matches in Asia Cup 2023, practiced wicketkeeping for around 45 minutes in preparation for the Pakistan match in Colombo. He underwent specialized wicketkeeping drills and displayed impressive skills.

He successfully completed some unconventional wicketkeeping exercises and it will be intriguing to observe whether the management opts to replace Ishan Kishan, who was in great form, having scored an excellent 82 from 81 balls in their previous encounter.
