India prepares for their upcoming clash with Pakistan
In reference to the ongoing Asia Cup, Pakistan initiated their campaign with a dominant 238-run victory over Nepal, thanks to Babar Azam’s 151 and Iftikhar Ahmed’s unbeaten 109. Meanwhile, India is gearing up for their first match and is eager to outperform Pakistan in Saturday’s highly-anticipated match.
Reflecting on their recent encounters in the Continental Cup in 2022, India secured victory during the group stage, while Pakistan advanced to the final by winning the Super Four clash. Notably, key players like Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, Prasidh Krishna, and Shreyas Iyer have returned to the squad for the Asia Cup after recovering from injuries.
However, head coach Rahul Dravid confirmed that KL Rahul will miss the first two group games as he continues to recover from his injury. Additionally, Siraj is making his comeback to the ODI setup after being rested during the ODI segment of the West Indies tour due to a sore ankle.
