Pakistani Cricketer Asif Ali suffered a major loss today as his daughter passed away at an early age of 2 battling cancer. The Pakistani cricketer was a part of ODI series against England for the past two weeks.
It is to be noted that prior to the series, Asif Ali participated in PSL and wasn”t able to give his best as his daughter”s health kept deteriorating.
Just before his departure to England, he also thanked the US embassy of Islamabad and Lahore for helping him get the medical visa for better treatment of his daughter within an hour. However, efforts aren”t successful now.
The official news was first shared by the Islamabad United team”s official handle and several cricketers and the public are paying their condolences on this sad demise.

Asif is all set to leave the side and join his family. It has been a very emotional ride for him over the past few months as he tried to engage in matches even bearing the pain.

Asif Ali played all five ODI”s against England in the series scoring two half-centuries. Asif Ali wasn”t included in the preliminary World Cup squad announced by the board, but now he has been included in the 15-member squad along with the likes of Wahab Riaz and Mohammed Amir.
