Australia India Fantasy Tips

Australia vs India 1st Test-fantasy tips.

After the conclusion of IPL 2020, team India will return to international cricket as they are all set to play Australia. The famous cricketing rivalry between Australia and India will again take centre stage. Team India will be kicking off their tour with a 3 match ODI series, followed by 3 T20Is and then the big 4 match Test series.

The Indian squad has reached Sydney and will soon commence their preparation for the massive tour again. The Indian captain Virat Kohli is always a major attraction whenever he tours Downunder. Kohli will once again hog the limelight during the ODI and T20I series against Australia. However, Kohli will return to India after completion of the first Test as the BCCI has granted him paternity leave. The Indian captain is expecting the birth of his first child in January and will miss the last 3 Test matches.

This is a huge blow to team India but it will also grant opportunities to other young players. The likes of Shubman Gill and KL Rahul will be eager to score runs in Test series and cement their position for future tours. Rohit Sharma will be missing in both the white ball series as the cricket board wants him fully recovered for the 4 Test matches.

In Kohli’s absence in the last 3 Tests, Rohit Sharma will be a vital player if he regains his full fitness. Also, several reports suggest that he might get a chance to lead India for the first time in Test cricket. Apart from Rohit, Ajinkya Rahane can also be named as India’s captain as he has been Kohli’s deputy in the red-ball cricket.

Meanwhile, as far as Australia is concerned they are looking a formidable side in all three formats. David Warner and Steve Smith along with Marnus Labschugane will be their chief batsman throughout the Indian tour. Whereas their fast-bowling trio of Michell Starc, Josh Hazelwood and Pat Cummins are expected to trouble the Indian batsmen. The hosts have also added some exciting new players such as Cameron Green and Will Pucovski for the series against India.
