Australian legend Brett Lee turns wrestler for a day beats Indian ‘Pahalwans’

The Australian fast bowler who was known for terrorizing batsman with his yorkers and bouncers was recently seen playing a new sport in Indian. The Aussie was seen playing one of India’s traditional sports wrestling.

In a recent video posted on Twitter from the official twitter handle of Karnataka Premier League, the right-arm fast bowler was seen locking horns with an Indian wrestler in a mud field which is called ‘Akhada.’ The former Australian legend was seen entering the ring by bowing down and touching the ground in a blue t-shirt and gray shorts. He proved to be lethal and was quite quick to pin down his opponent, eventually beating him. The bout took place in the South Indian city of Mysuru.

Lee is currently in India commentating in the ongoing Karnataka Premier League (KPL) and later it was learned that the video was made for a promotion for the franchise based cricket tournament.

Brett Lee was also seen posting a picture of him with Mysuru queen Pramoda Devi from his official Instagram account. It was also learned that he played piano or her.

Brett Lee has a strong connection with India acting in Bollywood alongside Tannishtha Chatterjee in a movie called “UnIndian.’
