Bangladesh take on New Zealand in the first of the five-match T20I series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. With the T20 World Cup in the UAE drawing closer, this will be an ideal preparation for both teams in conditions that are quite similar to that in the UAE. Bangladesh recently defeated Australia 4-1 in a bilateral T20I series.
Bangladesh on their home conditions will be ahead in the contest. Their recent series win against the Australian side will give them the conditions to be this inexperienced Kiwi side as well. Shakib Al Hasan, Mustafizur Rahaman remain the two big options with the ball for The Tigers with Mahmudullah leading the batting line-up.

Conditions in Bangladesh will be spin-friendly. The pitches will wear out by the second innings and the ball will start to turn and grip more than the first innings. The Kiwi batters will have to play the balls on length and with decisive footwork.
