Bangladeshi Fan Tiger Robi Sent Back After Controversy Over Kanpur Incident

Bangladeshi Fan, Tiger Robi, a well-known cricket enthusiast from Bangladesh, was recently deported to his home country by Indian authorities due to some controversy. On the first day of the Test match between India and Bangladesh, he, known by his real name, Rabi-ul-Islam, was present.

Bangladeshi Fan Tiger Robi was seen clutching his back throughout the game and claimed to have been beaten by local fans. Officials from the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and security intervened and took him to a hospital for treatment.

But after getting medical help, Bangladeshi Fan Tiger Robi withdrew his allegation, saying he was only sick and not attacked. Skepticism was aroused by this abrupt transformation. As a result, the Indian government decided to deport him back to Bangladesh, ending the spectacular and controversial incident that occurred during the test match.

Bangladesh superfan Tiger Robi returned to his native country:

Tiger Robi was escorted by state police to the airport in Chakeri. On Saturday, September 28, the security personnel stayed at the airport until his flight departing for Delhi.

According to the official, Robi caught a flight to Dhaka on Saturday afternoon from the Delhi airport, and he was not even permitted to leave the airport grounds.

Bangladeshi Fan Tiger Robi was advised by ADCP Srivastava that he needed to travel to India on September 18th in order to receive a medical visa. Originally scheduled to receive medical attention at a hospital in Howrah, he traveled to Chennai for the first Test match between India and Bangladesh prior to his arrival in Kanpur.

“He was found gasping for breath when he met a constable. He became unconscious before we could speak to him,” Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Harish Chander said to PTI.

Meanwhile, rain has had a major impact on India vs. Bangladesh’s second Test. Bangladesh scored 107-3 on Day 1 after just 35 overs of bowling. Rainfall on the third day of the test made it unplayable.
